Hi Borislav!.

You had an interesting gallery and a great potential.

On your gallery I can see you had anathomy knowledges, use of the light and volume.

A good example can be seen on this piece of your gallery. This is a very good piece. The anathomy is correct and the render for lights and shadows works very fine. But the problem is when you want to pass the pencil work to a inked work.

I can see the part you need to give more time is inking. There is a very good book about the Art of Comic-Book Inking by Gary Martin. This book can tell you some tips and tricks about the art of inking for comic (and Illustration). This book teach me some lessons very valuables, and one more thing: to really appreciate a good inker and a good ink work.

Why you must give more time to your inks?.

There´re some pieces that can illustrate my opinion: this and this.

On both pieces you had a good work on the pencil, but inking, some details and questions are lost. To me, it´s difficult to separate one dwarf from the other, or the pieces of their equipment. There´s not volume in the line, and this make confusing the final work.

Try to spent more time watching the inks of great artists like Mark Schultz (a master of the dry ink), Arthur Adams (the master of applying textures in the ink), Kevin Knowlan, Ryan Sook, or even the always great Adam Hughes. Study their works, watch how they separate planes, and actions on the comic page or the illustration. Then, you can see what your inks need.

Hope my opinion can help you.
